PRE-ANNOUNCEMENT, YEARLY MEETING LISBON April 2021 

We are now planning the activities for our meeting in Lisbon in April, 2021, before our hostess and colleague, Maria João Burnay can plan further, she needs to have an approximate number of attendees for the event. We will be visiting the Palacio Ajuda in the city of Lisbon, and also making a day-trip to the nearby Palaces of Sintra. We have therefore some logistical planning to do – buses/transport, meals etc. It is a big help to those of us making the preparations, when we know how many people will be attending. Please contact our Secretary as soon as possible to register your intention to attend.

Our special point of interest this year will be the importance of Lisbon/Portugal as a gateway for the export of glass and chandeliers to wide-reaching points in the world such as the Americas and the important role that the Portuguese offices (Kontors) played in this process.
