This week UNESCO will decide the future of the Knowledge, craft and skills of handmade
glass production

The Eighteenth session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the
Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO will meet from December 5 to 9 in Bostwana, Kasane,
for the possible inscription of Knowledge, craft and skills of handmade glass production on
the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The nomination has been recommended for an inscription by the Evaluation Body and also as a
good example of the positive role played by museums in safeguarding efforts and the web
page created to promote the element.
