David Martlew Memorial Prize Prize

Bill Brookes of the Society for Glass Technology has requested that I circulate news of the David Martlew Memorial Prize (below).
The SGT’s website has been uncooperative lately, and previous submissions to the competition may not have been processed. They ask that applicants send entries directly to Bill Brookes and Christine Brown:

The Society of Glass Technology and the Martlew family are pleased to announce the launch of the David Martlew Memorial Prize.
The prize is in the form of a Bursary to enable the successful applicant to attend and present a paper in the History and Heritage Section of the Annual Conference of the Society of Glass Technology (https://www.sgt.org/).
Students are invited to submit proposals to talk about the following research areas: Glass Art, Glass design & digital technologies, Glass materiality & making, Glass History, Archaeology etc.
The Bursary will cover:-
. The cost of registration for the Conference, including Banquet.
. Accommodation.
. A years membership subscription to the SGT.
. An illuminated scroll or other memento of the occasion.
The Bursary does not cover:-
. Travel expenses.
. Out of pocket expenses when attending the Conference
The successful applicant will be expected to:-
. Submit a paper, to be delivered in person, at the Conference.
. Attend the Conference Banquet.
